On a small floating village in the south of Thailand, I organized a unique 2v2 football tournament on the iconic pitch of Koh Panyee — a place where football thrives despite limited space and resources.

This short documentary-style episode is part one of Football Beyond Borders, an ongoing passion project that explores the global language of football and its power to connect people across cultures and communities.

In Koh Panyee, teams of local players competed in a friendly but fierce tournament format:
– Group stage → Knockout rounds
– Prizes: 500 baht per player + an FC Utrecht shirt for the top 3 teams

The episode captures not only the action on the pitch but also the spirit, pride, and deep connection the community has with the game.
